Port Sunlight is unlike anywhere else we work. It is a purpose-built model village, largely listed and within a conservation area, and that shapes everything about a move here: where a van can sit, how long it can sit there, and how carefully we work around the buildings and the greens.
The houses themselves are characterful rather than large, often with narrow doorways, tight hallways and original features we would rather not mark. We bring proper padding and take doors off where that is the sensible option, instead of forcing furniture through and hoping.
Access is the main planning job. The village roads are not built for large vehicles parked for hours, so we work out the approach in advance and keep the van where it causes least disruption to residents. Bebington and Bromborough are minutes away, so shuttling is straightforward when it is the right call.
