Saughall is a proper village a few miles out of Chester, with a mix of larger family houses, bungalows and older cottages. Plots are generally bigger than in the city, which usually means a driveway and space to get the van properly close.
The older parts of the village have narrower lanes and less hard standing, so we check the approach rather than assuming. On the newer roads access is straightforward and the day runs quickly.
