Thornton Hough is a preserved estate village, and moving here is as much about the setting as the house. Properties are characterful and often listed or within the conservation area, which means narrow doorways, original staircases and features we take real care not to catch.
The lanes and greens are the constraint. There is limited hard standing, verges we will not park on, and roads that were never intended for a Luton van sitting for half a day. We plan the approach and, where it is the right call, shuttle from a sensible spot rather than churning up a green.
Most of what we do here is full house moves and downsizing, with the occasional probate clearance on a long-held property. Bebington and Bromborough are close by, which makes staging a move straightforward when access dictates it.
