Oxton is one of the Wirral's most distinctive areas to move in. The village conservation area has substantial Victorian and Edwardian houses, many of them divided or extended over the years, with the kind of wide staircases and heavy original furniture that need proper hands and proper equipment.
The lanes are the challenge. Streets around Oxton village are narrow, some are cobbled, and parking is tight with walls and mature planting close to the road. A large van cannot always get to the door, so we check access first and, where needed, plan a shuttle rather than blocking a lane for the morning.
