Tranmere is largely Victorian terraced housing on a tight street pattern, with some newer infill. The houses themselves are usually straightforward inside. It is getting the van to the door and back out again that takes the planning.
Streets here fill with parked cars and several are narrow enough that a Luton van blocks them while loading. We would rather start early, get in and out cleanly, and not spend the morning apologising to neighbours. Where a street is genuinely impassable we will shuttle from the nearest sensible point.
Tranmere sits right next to Birkenhead, so it is one of the quickest runs from our base. We do a lot of first-home and rental moves here, alongside house clearances on the older properties.
