Willaston is a village of two halves for a removals crew. Around the green there are period cottages and older properties with narrow doors, low beams and staircases that were not built with a three-seater sofa in mind. Further out, there are larger modern homes with driveways and straightforward access.
Knowing which you have changes the job entirely. For the older properties we bring padding and take doors off where it saves the paintwork; for the newer ones we can usually back straight up and load without fuss. Either way we would rather know before the van sets off.
